How to scan with the SafeQ devices

NB. Oamk will change the printing service from Konica-Minolta to Canon in 1/9/2020. Don’t by more printing credits than you can use before the change: the credits will not transfer to the new system and there will be no refunds.

As an Oamk student, you can use the SafeQ devices at the Oamk campuses for scanning (and it’s free):

  1. Log in to the device using your Oamk user name and password
  2. Set the paper(s) to be scanned either
    • to the glass surface (text facing downwards) or
    • to the feeder (text facing up)
  3. Choose SafeQ Scan (see image 1)

  4. In the next view, you don’t have to fill out any of the fields, just press the OK button at the bottom right of the touch screen (see image 2; the text marked with A in the picture says that the scan will be sent to your e-mail by default.)

  5. Now press the start button of the device (see image 3)

  6. Please remember to log out using the Access button!

  7. Now you should have the scan in your e-mail; the sender is you and the subject of the message is “Scan from YSoft SafeQ”, the scan itself is there as an attachment. It is a PDF-file.
