Moodle Collaborate: testing your equipment before a session

English translation by Joni Liikala

This instruction is for those who use the microphone and screen sharing during Collaborate sessions.
The quality of Collaborate recordings is dependent on the user’s audio settings and the presenter’s  network speed(screen sharing).
You should visit these testing sites before every Collaborate session:
When using the testing site for microphone and network, you need to allow the use of the camera and microphone on the site (for example, in Chrome you should get a notification asking to allow it. You can later change this setting from the icon in the right top corner. See pictures 1 and 2).

When sharing your screen in Collaborate, you should have a good network connection. If you are on your home network, make sure there’s no extra traffic from, for example, streaming services or online video games at the same time.
